This is a neat website to create video messages. It is a free site and a thirty second limit. There is a paying site, but it is pretty pricey for educators. I think that the uses for teachers and administrators are wide open. Imagine opening an email from your principal with a personal message or a being a parent with a message from your teacher. The possibilities are unlimited.Check it out.

Surgery? I hope it was for your back.
I don't really know how we should determine number of principals per building because if it is based on numbers alone, that leaves out the issue of grade levels. As a former middle level principal, I saw many more students in a day than I do now at the high school level. Their issues and needs are different.
